General Henry ClintonBritish General, Henry Clinton, was stationed in New York City, New York, during the Revolutionary War. Clinton participated in the successful capture of New York City, the successful Battle of Long Island, the draw at Bunker Hill, and the successful capture of Charleston, South Carolina (4). While stationed in New York, Clinton was put in charge of all North American British troops. Clinton also oversaw the amount of British troops that were stationed in New York (5).
